First victory for the Women's 1st!

The Saints women’s first volleyball team played their first Scottish cup game Saturday in Aberdeen against Beacon Phoenix and came out victorious. After a slow start during the beginning of the first set, the Saints found their groove, winning the first set 25-14. The second set started strong with Alexandra Smith serving the first 10 points in a row. Kristen Copely also shined during this set, winning point after point off of her middle attack. The Saints won 25-12. In the third set, Maria Steen led the Saints in kills out of the outside, while Carolyn Barakso had multiple serving aces. The set ended 25-10. Overall this was a great win for the women’s first team, who travel to England to play two premiere league matches this weekend.
